As many of you know, I will be spending 5 weeks this summer serving in Kenya. I feel very privileged and blessed to be able to return there. There will be 3 of us on this trip serving as Buckner interns. While there, we will primarily be working at the Baptist Children Center in Nairobi, which is an orphanage that also has a school and small medical center on its campus. There is also a team coming from Dallas for a week that we will be assisting. We will also have the opportunity to do some ministry in the slums and we will be traveling to Busia, which is in northern Kenya. I am very excited as I know that God is going to impact lives during this time. For me personally, the fact that I am going on this trip is a huge testimony of what God has done these last 2 years.
Next Tuesday I will be flying to Dallas for orientation and then leaving next Friday to Kenya. As I leave, I am asking that you would partner with me on this trip in prayer. I have some prayer requests that I would like to share with you.
Please pray for our safety...there are only 3 of us on this trip and I am the leader (scary huh!!) and many of us know that Nairobi is not a very safe place. Please pray that God would put a hedge of protection around us and deliver us from any evil
Wisdom...I need lots of it
Boldness.....
Divine appointments...we want to be able to minister outside our "designated mission field"
Please pray that God would work in us and through us in a mighty way
Please pray that I would raise the rest of my support as I am not at goal yet
Unity...the 3 of us going have never met....we have emailed each other and God has begun to unite us already... Please pray that we would be binded together in one mind and one spirit
I am asking God to reveal Himself to all of us and make His power known to us in new ways!
Pray that His presence would go before us and lead us
And as you remember me, pray as the Spirit leads you..
Thank you all so much for your prayers, encouragement, and support. I have been so blessed by you all!! May God keep you and bless you!
